Bush 3: weekend tramp instructors checklist
Read the Leader notes.
- ensure that documentation is in place for emergency procedures/late arrival back. Refer to RAMS and Guide to Tramping
- ensure that instructors and assistant instructors are clear about the goals they are trying to achieve and safety procedures. Students ideally practise the skills they have learnt but above all it is about them having a fun but safe adventure!
- call on Leonore Hoke -> mailto:ttc [period] bushcraft [snail] ttc [period] org [period] nz?Subject=Query from TTC website as required in the planning process of what trips to be offered for each ability group.
- in the budget, there is allowance for an extra 24 maps to be purchased as needed, to cater for a trip(s) into a different area.
In the budget, based on 25 students, 7 instructors, and 5 trainee instructors the groupings have been estimated as follows:
