Saturday 4 October

Neil Challands led a M/F trip to the Kaipaitangata Stream. The group achieved their objective and circumnavigated the Kaipaitangata Stream, but never again. All went well except for some patches of modest scrub until they were just 2km from the cars and they found that the logging roads marked on the map did not exist on the ground. The last 2km took 2 hard hours... Gale force winds and the rain did not get through the trees! 6 members
