Webteam 2012 Refresh

Changes

The 2012 refresh of the website encompassed the following

• new page template with
  • left hand side bar
  • new Site.Header
  • use of new club logo and colours
  • leaf colour scheme for TTC
  • sky colour scheme for Tararua Footprints
• use of linear-gradient(approve sites) colours^{[1](approve sites)}
• use of border-radius(approve sites) for rounded corners^{[2](approve sites)}

Browsers

The website is intended for the latest current version of Chrome(approve sites), Firefox(approve sites), Opera(approve sites), and Safari(approve sites) (not tested). These browsers are available free for Windows, Linux, and Mac.

Users of IE 8 and IE 9 will not fully enjoy the look and feel of the website as intended, this is due to technical limitations of these browsers.

Work in progress

This is a work in progress, there is fine tuning to be done, and feedback will drive additional improvements.

Outstanding issues

All outstanding work has been completed.

• a better version of the top right logo is to be used, roundel style ✓
• all groups and pages have not yet been reviewed ✓
• the sidebar may need tweeking for wording and links ✓
• improvements to the layout of photos on the home page ✓
• behaviour of mouse over for links (a:hover) ✓
• update thumblist(approve sites) CSS ✓
