Supporting Tararua Tramping Club with a bequest
A gift of a bequest to the Tararua Tramping Club Inc (TTC) in your will is a very thoughtful act of kindness.
Why leave a bequest to the Tararua Tramping Club?
TTC is an incorporated society and receives no government or formal local body funding. TTC was established in 1919 and has seen out the first 100 years and is setting it sights on the next 100 years. We rely solely on the generosity of members and members visiting and using our various huts to support us and to keep TTC both operational and financially viable.
The various huts and lodges incur considerable costs. TTC is always endeavouring to engage with suitable sponsors to help cover the costs. With Covid-19 events this is proving to be more challenging than ever before.
To help sustain TTC, we invite all like-minded trampers to consider supporting us through donations or bequests.
Making a gift in your Will
There are a variety of ways to leave a gift in your Will to TTC, depending on what suits you best:
- Pecuniary Bequest – this means kindly leaving / gifting a specified sum of money in your Will to the TTC.
- Residuary Bequest – a type of gift made to the TTC as a beneficiary, who would be gifted any residue of the estate, after family, other beneficiaries, gifts and tax returns have been completed and the estate is finalised.
- Specified Bequest – a particular item of value gifted in your Will to the TTC (for example tramping memorabilia, stocks and shares, or works of art)
