Tramping Reports Wednesday 2011 Aug 10 to Tuesday 2011 Aug 16
Wednesday:
Mary Inglis led a walk to Butcher, Cattle Ridge, Browns Track, and Old 5–Mile. 7 members had a very pleasant day walking a familiar track which kept them in shape for future tramping. (E/M)
Paddy Gresham led a walk to Wainuiomata Coast Rd, East Harbour Lakes... reputed to have attracted 36, but no report. (M)
Dave Currie led a Ramble to Lees Grove and Fern Gully... no report.
Weekend:
The Ski Weekend attracted 29 members. Some went up to the Crater, some took part in the Learn-to-Ski classes.
The Dad's Snow Tramp didn't run.
Piers Harris led a trip to climb Te Heuheu by Waihohonu Ridge - no report.
Saturday:
On Colin Cook's M trip, 7 members completed a nominally off-track circuit taking in Holdsworth Lookout, Carrington Stream east branch, Carrington Ridge, Gentle Annie Saddle and Holdsworth Lookout again. No rain, no wind and in the morning some sun.
Sunday:
Patrick Cuming led a walk to Mt Kaukau... no report. (E)
