Tramping Reports Wednesday 2007 March 7 to Tuesday 2007 March 13
Great weather experienced by all trips. The Wednesday medium trip had a change of destination and leader. They went into Graces stream/Mckerrow with 4 members and 1 non-member. The Wednesday easy trip into the Belmont hills had 16 members and 1 non-member.
The family camping trip to Morisons Bush had 14 families totalling 50 people. Activities included cycling the Rimutaka incline and kayaking. There was one injury owing to a tumble off the bike in one of the tunnels.
Bushcraft II went well at Kaitoke.
The Saturday medium day trip had 5 members for some faultless navigation in Carrington creek.
The Sunday easy trip to Karori Sanctuary only had 2 members, possibly because of disruption to bus services caused by road closures to the road race.
14 members enjoyed the Orongorongo water catchment walk.
The weekend trip to Blake-Mitre Flats-Waignawa did not run. Neither did the Saturday medium/fit day trip.
