Wednesday turned out to be a lovely fine day, so 28 people went along the Cannon Point walkway, many for the first time!
On Sunday, just three people went into the Catchpool on the Medium trip on a modified route.
The Preschool Family group had an enjoyable visit to Matiu/Somes Island, where they liberated a little Blue Penguin stranded in a rock pool, and listened to bird calls. 6 adults and 4 children
Snowcraft 3 on Mt Ruapehu went ahead in quite unpleasant conditions on Saturday, with three teams digging snow caves, in which they cooked dinner and slept overnight. However a quick retreat back to Tararua Lodge was made in the morning by two teams for breakfast, while one team enjoyed longer in their cave. A good dump of snow overnight meant there could be no climbing on Sunday, even though the weather improved. 13 members, 4 non members
