Wednesday Oct 16 2013
Eleven members completed the grand traverse north from Titi, across Maunganui and on to Cleartop, then back along the forestry road to the car park at the Adventure depot. We detoured to rediscover the giant slip we had reported back in April. Total time was, as predicted, less than 8 hours.

Wednesday 16th October Medium trip
A party of 19 members and one non-member ventured out just after the big Northerly Storm went from Reserve Road in Plimmerton over the hills to Pukerua Bay. It follows a public walkway that was, in part, an old Maori trail. We descended to the sea at Pukerua Bay by the apply named Goat Track and walked back to Plimmerton along the coast.
The weather was fine but the seas were still very high from the storm. There were nineteen members on the trip and one non-member.
