Highbury Fling and beyond E

Wednesday 24 May 2023

On a fine but cloudy day with a chill southerly blowing, 10 of us left the No.25 bus near George Denton Park to begin our walk along the Highbury Fling Track to Brooklyn. This well-formed track contours around the head of the Aro Valley and is used by walkers, runners and cyclists. Along the way we made a short detour to our left to see the view, now hidden by growth of vegetation, but noticed that the group of pine trees are all ringbarked. Our next stop, at the seat with a view, was for morning tea and to celebrate David's 90th birthday.
