Milford Track

April 2023

Colin Cook and I did the Milford with Ultimate Hikes in April. We had one day of rain tramping up the Clinton Valley. Otherwise we had plenty of sun and great views. We enjoyed the glass of wine and scones, followed by a three-course meal, on arrival at the lodges. The drying room dried all wet clothes overnight. Our guides kept a tally of finishers at Sandfly Point (see list). Colin (83) arrived first, as might be expected from a TTC'er spending all his spare time in the Tararua Range. All the 30, 40, 50, 60 and 70 year-olds followed. I took my rightful place at the rear, taking time to admire the scenery and take photos.
