Four of us took ourselves and touring skis to the south island for the week. With a couple of days of blizzards forecast, we first went into the Two Thumb Range figuring we could at least enjoy the warmth of the fire in Rex Simpson Hut! The skies cleared and 'plan A' was back on -- skiing the Tasman Glacier! With me were Rob Hawes, Cherie Marshall and Daniel Rogerson.
