Canoeing the Whanganui river
January 2007
A few weeks ago the Symmes, Davis, Dement, Jackson and Stotter (Dean & Tim) families went paddling down the Whanganui River for a week.
The first day was probably the best because the river was fast and there were a lot of rapids, and even carnage (both the Jackson canoes). All the other days, except for the last, were boring because there were hardly any rapids.
The last day however was also really fun because there was a really huge rapid with huge waves and eddies (hi Eddy!). Over all this trip was really fun and I would like to do it again some time.
Photos of this trip are on the website . . .
