American Chicken
4 chicken legs or breasts 1 tblsp flour 2 to 3 tblsp oil 2 onions chopped 1 tsp curry powder 1 cup hot water ½ tsp thyme 1 pkt Maggi Tomato Soup 1 cup cold water 1 to 2 green peppers, chopped ¼ to ½ cup currants
- sprinkle chicken legs with flour
- heat oil in a large frying pan and brown chicken, turning several times
- add chopped onion and brown lightly
- sprinkle curry powder over chicken, turn and cook for a minute
- add hot water and thyme, cover and simmer 10 to 15 minutes until chicken is tender
- mix tomato soup with cold water and add to chicken with chopped green peppers and currants
- shake to mix and simmer over a low heat for 10 to 15 minutes, turning once
- serve on rice
