Four day visit to Balfour glacier to climb 'Anyone can play guitar' (6-) on west face of Mt Magellan (3049m).

Day 1 = fly to below Katies col and walk into the Balfour glacier & setup camp.

Day 2 = get to base of route and climb first 4 pitches. Forced bivy on ledge. Snow meant hot water was available from stove.

Day 3 = continue to summit of Magellan (8 x 50 m pitches in total, crux 19) and abseil route. Arrive back at tent 35 hours after departure.

Day 4 = walk out of Balfour and camp below Katies col (waiting for low cloud to clear for before flying out the next morning).
