The club rules state that:
Annual General Meetings
35. The Annual General Meeting shall be held not later than the thirty-first day of August in each Year on a day to be determined by the General Committee.
Nomination of Candidates for Elected Offices
22 (a) Each candidate will be a member, and be proposed in writing by one member and seconded by another. The nomination will have the written consent of the nominee, and be received by the Secretary at least ten days prior to the Annual General Meeting. All nominations will be posted on the TTC website ten days before the Annual General Meeting.
(b) If there is no prior nomination for any elected office at the Annual General Meeting the notice requirements in (a) above will be waived.
Election of Officers and General Committee
23. Election of Officers and the rest of the General Committee will take place at the Annual General Meeting and in the following order:
(i) President;
(ii) Vice-President;
(iii) Secretary, Treasurer, Chief Guide;
(iv) the other five members of the General Committee provided for in Rule 15;
Any candidates not elected in the ballot for President will with their consent be included in ballot (ii) or (iv). Any candidates not elected in the ballot for Vice-President will with their consent be included in ballot (iv).
General Committee
16. During the year succeeding the President’s period in office the retired President becomes the Immediate Past President.
17. The General Committee establishes sub-committees which are answerable to it, and appoints on recommendation the leaders of these sub-committees. Each sub-committee has a designated person on the General Committee to liaise with, including reporting activities and projects and any issues in time for each meeting of the General Committee so that the General Committee can maintain an overview of the Club and make well-informed decisions.
18. The General Committee may appoint a member to fill a vacancy in any elected office until the next Annual General Meeting.
