An excellent pick-me-up for après-ski at Tararua Lodge.
1.5 litres red wine 0.5 litres orange juice 0.5 litres water ¼ to ½ cups brown sugar to taste 1 tsp ground cloves 2 tsp ground cinnamon optionally thinly sliced orange
- combine all ingredients in a large pan
- heat until wine reaches a gentle simmer stirring occasionally
- serve piping hot
